About Torie

With a global upbringing and roots in San Francisco, Torie's sound is an eclectic blend of many influences. She interweaves elements of groovy tech house, driving techno, minimal underlays, deep melodic beats, and vocal pieces to tell a captivating story through sound and bring life to the dancefloor.

As a resident of the SF-based You're Welcome events, a member of local Burning Man crew ICARUS, and a co-founder of the Dance With Haha series, she draws inspiration from the dusty playa, the undergrounds of San Francisco and the interstellar endeavors of the ICARUS art car & its motley crew. She's played alongside Justin Martin, Maya Jane Coles, Patrice Baumel, Evan Casey, Dance Spirit, Tycho, Kevin Knapp, Nikita, Shiba San, Joeski and more, plus festivals including EDCLV, Northern Nights and Outside in Equinox.

As an artist and event producer in SF, the moment that the clubs closed downs and events began being cancelled, my streams of revenue both playing music out and hosting events disappeared. COVID-19 took away not only my passion of sharing music through DJing, but my income as an artist as well.
