There are many great event spaces in cities that are closed from Sunday through Thursday. Snapshot is an experiment to see if we can utilize some of these venues to help support local artists. We are hoping our efforts raise awareness and let people and local businesses know that, supporting events which raise $100 - $150 a night for local artists can make a huge difference for individual artists and the local arts community. We come in on Sunday and transfrom a venue, set up a great exhibition and showcase local artists for the week. I think there can be a lot of value added to communities from these types of events. From the creativity showcase and artist opportunities, to the fun for event patrons and additional revenue for venues and their staff.
