About Stefano Mendoza

Stefano Mendoza is a martial artist and illustrator whose designs and drawings express his love for martial arts, fantasy and animals. His inspiration comes from judo anime, comic books, and horror movies.

Artist Statement

Stefano typically divides his time between drawing at coffee shops and working as a jiu jitsu coach. Since the shelter-in-place order, all of the gyms where Stefano teaches have closed and his income has dried up.

Stefano holds a black belt in jiu jitsu and a brown belt in judo, and runs an instagram and etsy shop called Undersideland.
