Marina Polakoff is a San Francisco Bay Area based costume designer, body art and face painting expert.

Marina's has an extensive background in fine arts and haute couture fashion. She combines body art with bespoke headpieces in a range of materials from yarn to randomly found objects. Each headpiece is one of a kind and sculpted with imagination and care.

Marina specializes in picturesque renderings of desired themes and characters, ranging from edgy, modern and whimsical, to classical and timeless.

Marina has suffered devastating employment loss from event and production cancellations as as result of the Covid-19 pandemic. She is typically employed by operas and ballet companies as well as international and local festivals.
