About Elizabeth Ashcroft

I work primarily with altered books with the occasional foray into other mediums such as mixed media painting, collage, graphite drawings and wherever else my creative imagination takes me. My studio location in the heart of North Beach where poetry, literature, history and the highs and lows of society makes for a hodgepodge of constant inspiration.

I have found myself compelled to create a new series of work outside my usual oeuvre(s). Like everyone - the contrast between what is my normal studio isolation and the strange new quiet cautious isolationist world outside the door makes for the formation of odd ideas and experiences
