About Aima the Dreamer

Aima Paule is a multi disciplinary artist, more commonly known for her music. Aima aka Aima the Dreamer has been performing as well as creating & hosting events for well over a decade. Aima is co-founder of Oakland's beloved Soulovely, a QTBIPOC dance party now going into its 9th year! Aima has lived in the Bay Area, California for 20 years. She continues to be inspired by the beauty and brilliance of the art, music, and activism that is fostered here. No stranger to collaboration, she believes in the power of connection using art and music as a bridge between communities.

Rockin' crowds from Oakland to Barcelona, as a vocalist and MC with groups such as Femme Deadly Venoms, Jazz Mafia, and J-Boogie's Dubtronic Science. Her smooth delivery and socially just content makes her an easy favorite for anyone who enjoys music with a message. She is influenced by Jazz, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, Trip Hop, World Beat, and House music.

Newer to the visual art platform, she is beginning to show another side of her creative expression through multimedia concepts, installations and set designs. She is drawn towards natural materials, sacred geometry, healing frequencies and ancestral wisdom and medicines as inspiration for her installation. Currently on exhibit at SomArts Gallery. *** Please note SomArts is closed due to covid-19.
